ENTREZ DANS MA VILLE

Art numérique collectif et participatif
by August Luis

The project

"Entrez dans ma ville" is a digital art exhibition, both collective and participative, inviting you to get actively involved.
The basic idea behind this initiative is to collect photographs of the entrance signs to French towns, and we're counting on everyone's participation to make it happen.

A commune's entrance sign is symbolically a gateway to the town's soul.

All the images collected will be carefully organized on this website, sorted by department and then alphabetically by commune.
They can also be shared on social networks, so that their beauty and significance can be widely appreciated.

How to participate

Participating is child's play! Here's how it works:
1. Take a photo of your French commune's entrance sign in vertical format, making sure it's of good quality.
2. At the bottom of this page, click on "Continue".
3. Take a moment to read the useful tips.
4. Fill in the fields with your surname, first name, e-mail address, the French département, and the name of the commune corresponding to your photo.
5. Select the photo you wish to share.
Finally, click on "Send".
And that's it!

What you need to know...

- Your photograph should be taken in vertical format with good resolution.
- Make sure you take your photo during the day, not at night.
- Under no circumstances should the photo include people or dated elements, such as posters announcing events.
- It's imperative to preserve the integrity of the sign, without making any modifications to it, whether additions or alterations to the name.
- Do not interact with the sign in any way when taking the photo.
- Be scrupulous about respecting the site and street furniture, to avoid any liability.
- The photographed sign must display the official name of the commune, not that of a hamlet or district.
- If the photo you submit does not meet these guidelines and your e-mail address is correct, you will be informed so that you can submit a new photo.
- Only one photograph per commune will be considered for publication.
- The final work may be sold in whole or in part. By submitting your photograph, you agree to waive all ownership rights.

Caution!
Be very careful on the roadside to take your photo.
Don't put yourself in danger.
